Ben’s passions outside the gym reside in working with those a bit lost when it comes to what constitutes a healthy lifestyle.
Disillusioned with the health and fitness industry’s knack for profiteering off the vulnerable, Ben joined Katrina in creating MTMM with the intention of building a community for those ready to take their health seriously but are just a little unsure of how to start.
Ben works tirelessly alongside his clients to create strategies that incorporate their personal circumstances into their programming - devising nutrition that fits his client’s lifestyles, rather than consuming it. His ability to simplify the science behind tailored nutrition provides those that work with him the ability to learn at their own pace, increase self awareness, boost self confidence and ultimately become the highest performing versions of themselves.
Ben believes that everyone is entitled to learn how to properly fuel, nourish, and cherish their body, and that high performance is not reserved for only top level athletes, but rather the whole community.

Katrina is a graduate of the University of Victoria & Logan University where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters Degree in Nutrition & Human Performance.
Katrina spent her nursing career in the field of cardiac health, obtaining an advanced specialty certificate and moving into a position in cardiac surgery ICU where she worked directly with some of the sickest patients in the province.
During her five years in cardiac health Katrina became passionate about optimizing quality of life rather than repairing. This coincided with an increasing passion for CrossFit and Olympic lifting. After awhile it became apparent that her ability to help people live better was severely restricted in an intensive care setting, and that she could make a bigger impact working alongside individuals who actively prioritized their health, but perhaps just needed a little guidance getting on track.
With this desire to coach positive change, Katrina obtained her Masters in Nutrition and Human Performance & now coaches full-time alongside managing the CrossFit affiliate co-owned with her Partner, Ben.

Chris Gale grew up around competitive martial arts. He was competitive until the age of 21 in the sport.
Chris started supplementing CrossFit to aid his fitness in martial arts competition. A year goes by and CrossFit became the focus over martial arts.
In 2013 Chris obtained his CF-L1 and opened a CrossFit affiliate (CrossFit Kenko). The very same year Chris was diagnosed with a chiari malformation which resulted in brain surgery and a 12 month recovery bed ridden.
The 12 months without training or proper nutrition put Chris back to square 1. This gives Chris a great appreciation of the struggles that come with beginning a new life style.
Fast forward 10 years and Chris is a CCFT (CrossFit level 3) and still running CrossFit Kenko with multiple successful competitive athletes. He has also obtained a bachelors degree in food & nutrition science.
It is this combination of 10 years knowledge and experience coaching CrossFit athletes and Chris’ own struggles after brain surgery that provide a potent recipe (pun intended) to help others succeed in achieving their goals, whether that be fat loss, muscle gain, general health and/or performance!
